My Story

Takeya Trayer is a Florida-based traditional and digital artist whose work explores self-expression, identity, and representation. With a background in both fine arts and education, she merges creativity with advocacy, using her art to amplify the voices of marginalized communities.

A dedicated educator, Takeya serves as a Studio Teacher and Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Reflection Coordinator at Shorecrest Prep, where she fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and inclusive dialogue through experiential learning. Her passion for mentorship extends to coaching, having guided young athletes in basketball while drawing from her own experience as a collegiate scholarship player at St. Joseph’s University.
